The famous dragon of Los Cabos is nothing other than a huge rock arch formed of granite whose figure resembles a dragon with its head submerged in water, also called El Arco. It is located in the farthest part of the peninsula and divides the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez. At low tide it is possible to go down and walk next to the Arch, while at high tide we can only see it from the boat.
This area is very rich in marine life and it is not surprising that we see pelicans and sea lions along the beach for what UNESCO declared it World Heritage of Bio-Reserves in 1995.

Cabo Pulmo

Since you are in Los Cabos, you cannot miss the opportunity to visit Cabo Pulmo National Park . This park is of great importance worldwide because it is part of the coral reef on the eastern Pacific coast, the only one of its kind and that covers the entire continent: from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego. Its aquatic beauty contrasts with the flora and fauna of the desert.
When swimming and surfing in Cabo Pulmo you will see its various species of fish, corals, algae, dolphins and whale sharks, among others. Because we are talking about a nature reserve there are certain rules that we cannot ignore, all of them seek to respect the life of local species and promote their care.
Getting to Cabo Pulmo takes about 30 minutes by car from San José del Cabo.
